I was honoured to be invited to Thicket Priory to collaborate on a simply stunning photoshoot which has been featured on Blovedblog.com.
My ideas behind the makeup and hair design where to reflect the opulence of the setting by using soft gold tones in the makeup and then changing the hair style to complement the wedding gowns. The first dress was flowy and soft and I created a textured low ponytail that worked well with our young model but also suited the grand setting. Our bride looked radiant and pretty and completely relaxed.
The second gown was more fitted and structured so I created a textured updo with twists and plaits for interest with a hair vine placed to the back. The makeup was kept the same.
This makeup would look great on anyone wanting a soft smokey eye that was just a little bit special. The ponytail looks effortless and contemporary, whereas the updo was a bit more formal but the plaits and twists added interest and movement.
