Zoe of Zoe’s Fancy Cakes can usually be found dressed in jeans and a hoodie or chefs whites, no makeup and hair in a ponytail.
Known for her cake tutorials, Zoe’s hands are often in front of the camera more than her face so the thought of posing for new branding images was a little daunting.
After chatting with Zoe about what she wanted to use her images for and how she wanted to come across, we decided on three locations for her images that would enable her personality shine. We chose the kitchen above her shop as the setting for her more professional chef whites photos. The client meeting space in the store where Zoe consults with clients placing orders for bespoke cakes; here Zoe still needed to be professional but in a more relaxed and informal environment. And finally, out in the sunny Yorkshire countryside walking her dog, perfect for showing off Zoe’s friendly and warm personality.
I worked closely with Jane Beadnell Photography on this shoot. Jane has a wonderful calm approach to capturing images, that are truly stunning.
